From the series Moods. For almost a decade, I have been working with scrap timber that I have collected from London skips. I cut it into different sizes and shapes, before painting. Until recently, I was painting just on one side, but then I came up with the idea that each piece of wood can be approached from every side. In this way, the painted characters have second, third and fourth faces, and each piece can also be divided into individual blocks. This new approach allows the work to be viewed from a multitude of perspectives.
